Recording Studios

Formerly the internationally renowned Hollick & Taylor Studios, has been Birmingham’s best kept secret for over sixty-eight years. Gerry Anderson’s original sound effects for Thunderbirds Are Go, Floral Dance and even Jasper Carrott’s Funky Moped were all recorded here. Black Voices, one of the UK’s premier a cappella performance companies, had recorded several albums at these Studios. Everyone from reggae legend Jimmy Cliff to evergreen pop star Cliff Richard has recorded at the historic Handsworth facility.

CMAT’s state of the art equipment with modern SSL Mix console and Pro Tools HD3 industry standard DAW meet the highest requirements.

CMAT's facilities are flexible and can meet the requirements relative to other local studios. The room is professionally treated and has a fantastic acoustic sound especially adapted to suit sweeping anthemic sound recordings of any genre. It also includes an adjoining drum / vocal booth and several isolation panels which are ideal for recording multiple sources simultaneously.
